The people around Holochain and Holo

Holochain is built in the open, so a lot of the most useful work happens outside the official channels: directories that track which hApps are really alive, independent explainers of HoloFuel, forums where developers answer questions, and dozens of chat rooms in many languages. This page gathers all the community links we know about — including this website, which is itself run by community members and not by Holo Host.

Community websites and directories

These sites are built and maintained by community members. They are the fastest way to see what is being shipped on Holochain right now and to understand how HoloFuel actually works.

• hAppRadar — “Discover what's alive on Holochain.” A directory of hApps, developer tools and projects, with the teams and communities building them.
• hAppenings Community — hAppenings Community C.I.C. keeps a database of hApps and developer tools, and provides information, connection and mutual aid resources for the people and projects of the ecosystem. Happenings Community is also known for its regular newsletter, which offers fresh and relevant news, with particular attention to detail.
• HoloFuel.best — An independent explainer of HoloFuel: asset-backed mutual credit, how hosts earn it, HoloFuel compared to Bitcoin, and the HOT → HoloFuel migration.
• HoloFuel, money backed by what really happens — An interactive explainer with small simulations: watch credit being created when hosting is paid for, and how settlement between agents would work.
• hot.talk — “HoloFuel is coming.” A countdown to the HOT → HoloFuel migration — the site gives November 1st, 2026 as the date HOT becomes convertible — followed by a long FAQ: bridging HOT into mirrored units, migrating those units to HoloFuel one to one, why the original tokens are locked rather than burned, what the Reserves are, and why migrating stays voluntary.
